    Relación entre un parámetro antropométrico y la biometría hemática en niños de un albergue de Chosica, año 2019

    Health problems that affect human development in the economic, social, and educational spheres require full attention from health professionals, as they are a determining factor for global stability. Malnutrition, obesity, and anemia are representative examples of this. The objective of this research was to determine if a relationship exists between an anthropometric parameter and hematological biometry. Methodology: The method used was descriptive, analytical, deductive, and inductive, with a quantitative-deductive approach, a basic bivariate research type, and a non-experimental design. The population consisted of 117 children aged 6 to 12 from a shelter in the district of Chosica, Lima. Results: From the anthropometric parameter BMI, 81.2% were normal, 16.2% were overweight, and 2.6% were obese (no cases of malnutrition were found). Regarding hematological biometry (Hemoglobin and Hematocrit), 88.9% had normal values and 11.1% had altered values. The Chi-squared test (p=0.661) determined that no correlation exists between an anthropometric parameter and hematological biometry in the children at the Chosica shelter in 2019.
