Publicación Acceso abierto Relación entre carga laboral de enfermería y la gravedad del paciente en la unidad de cuidados críticos de un hospital-nacional 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-11-22) Oré Quispe, Yaneth Tania; Bonilla Asalde, Cesar AntonioIn 2015, the World Health Organization proposed that an average of 23 nurses were required per 10,000 inhabitants, but due to population growth and the presence of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2021, the nursing faculty of the National University of the Altiplano of Puno recorded that in Peru there were only 15 nurses per 10,000 inhabitants, which was the cause of its high workload, which is why this research project aims to determine the relationship between the nursing workload and the severity of the patient in the critical care unit, using the hypothetical, deductive, transverse method and applying two surveys to 80 specialist nurses, Hart and Staveland workload assessment, and TISS-28 assessment for patient severity, obtaining as results that 60% recognize the existence of a high level of workload overload, 40% believe that their workload is average and there was no one who indicated that the workload is low level, which is why it was concluded that given the increase in workload of nursing work, its quality of service and the health of the patient is negatively compromised.
