    Uso de las TIC y desempeño académico de los estudiantes del grado 8 en el area de matemáticas de la Institucion Educativa Técnico Industrial Marco Aurelio Bernal del Municipio de Garagoa Colombia en el año 2016

    The present research is directed to education’s field and its main objective is to determine the relation between the academic performance of math’s area and the Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) uses in the classroom, focusing on the platform usage, web, and technology of learning area for the Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Marco Aurelio Bernal (from Garagoa, Boyacá) eight graders for 2016. To achieve this, the work has been established within the basic investigation type, with a descriptive-correlational method, giving an importance approach to quantitative and statistical t-student. In order to fulfill the investigation development, it has been defined the implementation of the survey technique for taking the information related to the analyzed students TIC’s use, through the usage of a questionnaire as a data collector instrument. The information about the academic performance of the students as a beginning point for analyzing the scholar results was obtained from the institution’s books of School Valuation Record through direct observation. The techniques and instruments mentioned were applied with a demonstration of 84 eight graders form the Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Marco Aurelio Bernal of the municipality of Garagoa, Boyacá. Once the results analysis phase is over, resulting in 95% of the t-Student test it can be observed the improvement of the academic performance of the eight graders form the Institución Educativa Técnico Industrial Marco Aurelio Bernal. It can be inferred that the academic performance of the students in maths area improves significantly with TIC’s usage. It is important to mention that, according to student’s perception, the implementation of these strategies in the teachinglearning process increase the motivation and acceptation from them to this class.
