    Nivel de satisfacción y estimación de la intensidad del dolor en usuarios atendidos en una botica del distrito de Ate – Lima, 2021

    Pain is a defense mechanism that helps detect and localize injured organic structures and is a frequent cause of medical consultations and prescriptions. Objective: To determine the relationship between pain intensity and the level of satisfaction among users attended in a pharmacy in the district of Ate, Lima, in 2021. Methods: The study followed a deductive approach with a quantitative focus, employing a non-experimental, correlational, cross-sectional, and prospective design. A simple random probabilistic sampling method was used, and the sample consisted of 217 users. The survey technique was applied using a questionnaire as the instrument, with a 95% confidence level, and the Chi-square test was employed to test the hypothesis. Results: Of the 217 users, 71% were female, 85.2% were between 41 and 80 years of age, and 79.7% had basic education. Regarding pain intensity, 36.9% reported moderate pain, 26.3% severe pain, and 20.3% mild pain. Concerning mood, 80.6% experienced anxiety, 91.7% depression, 87.6% fear, and 94% helplessness. Regarding side effects caused by pain, 88.9% reported nausea, 93.1% drowsiness, 92.2% itching, and 95.9% dizziness. Additionally, 96.8% indicated that pain interfered with or prevented them from performing daily activities. In terms of satisfaction, 93.7% were satisfied with the pharmacist’s skills, 93.4% with the trust and assistance provided, and 94.7% with the assessment of their health status. Conclusion: A significant relationship was found between pain intensity and the level of satisfaction among users attended in a pharmacy in the district of Ate, Lima, in 2021, since the significance value in the Chi-square analysis was less than 0.05.
