    Self-care agency in patients with breast cancer undergoing cancer treatment at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Lima National Hospital, 2021

    Introduction: The term self-care has its Greek origin based on a term known as care of oneself: epimeleia heautou, which implies a reflective practice that a person performs on themselves. Self-care agency will be evaluated based on its dimensions: fundamental capacities and self-care dispositions, power components, and ability to perform self-care operations. Objective: To analyze the level of self-care agency in breast cancer patients undergoing oncological treatment at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins National Hospital, Lima, Peru, 2021. Methodology: The study is of a descriptive design, with a quantitative approach and a cross-sectional cut. The study population consists of 60 female patients receiving chemotherapy treatment at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, from which a sample of 53 patients was taken through non-probabilistic, simple random sampling. For data collection, the technique used was a survey, and the instrument used was a scale called ASA.
