The research used a quantitative, descriptive approach with an observational and retrospective design. The population consisted of 1,800 prescriptions, from which a sample of 317 prescriptions filled at Botica Mifarma was selected. A structured form was used for data collection based on two main variables. The first variable included the dimensions: "Patient Data," "Medication Data," "Prescriber Data," and "Prescription Specific Data." The second variable encompassed the "Presence of Drug Interactions" and the "Presence of Polypharmacy." The results indicated that compliance with the required information was moderate in most cases: 74% for Medication Data, 64% for Prescriber Data, 58% for Prescription-Specific Data, and 43% for Patient Data. Regarding drug interactions, 11% was identified, of which 75% were pharmacodynamic and 25% were pharmacokinetic. In terms of severity, 61% were classified as moderate. Additionally, only 3.2% of prescriptions exhibited polypharmacy. The findings of this study highlight the importance of ensuring compliance with prescription regulations to reduce errors. It is essential to strengthen healthcare professionals' training and promote interdisciplinary collaboration between physicians and pharmaceutical chemists.
