The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between levels of anxiety and depression among nursing staff at a mental health hospital in Lima during the year 2026. To this end, the study will employ a quantitative, applied approach using a hypothetical-deductive method, a nonexperimental design, and a cross-sectional study. The population will consist of the nursing staff at the health facility, with a sample of 93 workers selected through non-probability sampling. The data collection technique will be a survey, and two standardized questionnaires will be used as instruments. To measure the anxiety variable, the Zung Self-Rating Anxiety Scale will be administered—an instrument developed by William Zung in 1965 and adapted to the Peruvian context by Luis Astocondor in 2001. On the other hand, to measure the depression variable, the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) will be used, developed by Aaron Beck, Robert Steer, and Gregory Brown, and adapted for use in Peru by Ángela Espinoza Estrada in 2016. Furthermore, descriptive and inferential statistics will be employed in the data analysis.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Enfermería PsiquiátricaPsychiatric NursingAnsiedadAnxietyDepresiónDepressionPersonal de EnfermeríaNursing StaffNivel de ansiedad y depresión del personal de enfermería de un hospital de salud mental, Lima – 2026Levels of Anxiety and Depression Among Nursing Staff at a Mental Health Hospital, Lima–2026http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.03.03https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.24ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
