Population: Composed of 215 patients treated in the Emergency Unit of a Hospital in Huánuco. Sample: It will be made up of 139 patients from the emergency department, a simple random non-probabilistic sampling will be used. Methodological design: Applied, hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study. Instruments: For the evaluation of the variable "Triage priority levels" and "Waiting time", an observation sheet modified by Osorio R in 2016 will be used, reliable with KR20 obtaining values of 0.77. The technique we will use to collect the information is observation. Data processing and analysis: We will use descriptive statistics to elaborate frequency tables and graphs, on the other hand, we will apply inferential analysis using the Chi 2 statistical test, which will allow us to verify the hypotheses we have proposed.Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de prioridad del triaje y el tiempo de espera de atención del paciente de emergencia de un Hospital de Huánuco, 2024. Población: Compuesta por 215 pacientes atendidos en la unidad de Emergencia de un Hospital de Huánuco. Muestra: Estará conformado por 139 pacientes del servicio de emergencia, se usará un muestreo no probabilístico aleatorio simple. Diseño metodológico: Estudio aplicado, hipotético-deductivo, cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal, correlacional. Instrumentos: Para la evaluación de la variable “Niveles de prioridad del triaje” y “Tiempo de espera”, se usará una ficha de observación modificado por Osorio R en el 2016, confiable con KR20 obteniendo valores de 0,77. La técnica que usaremos para recoger la información es observación.
