Asimismo, el objetivo será: Identificar la relación entre el estrés laboral y el desempeño del personal de enfermería en el área de centro quirúrgico. Por otro lado, la metodología que se usará será aplicada, hipotético deductivo, cuantitativo, con diseño no experimental y corte transversal, tipo correlacional. En la población se incluye a 180 enfermeros (as) que laboran en el área del centro quirúrgico del Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, seleccionando una muestra de 123 enfermeros para la aplicación del cuestionario. En la recolección de datos se usarán 2 instrumentos dividiéndose uno para cada variable; evaluadas por un juicio de expertos; siendo en la primera variable de estrés laboral con una confiabilidad de 0,98 y en la segunda variable de desempeño laboral con una confiabilidad de 0,93, indicando que ambos instrumentos son de alta confiabilidad. Asimismo, en el procesamiento de datos se usará el programa estadístico SPSS buscando la relación entre los datos de las dimensiones de las variables del estudio por medio de la prueba de Spearman.Introduction: Stress is present in nursing activities and influences professionals’ performance. Proper management of situations involving tension and pressure can foster a better work environment, as well as promote a comprehensive approach during interventions carried out by specialist nurses in the surgical center area. The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between occupational stress and the job performance of nursing staff in the surgical center area. Regarding the methodology, the study will be applied, based on the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional scope, and correlational type. The population includes 180 nurses working in the surgical center area of Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, from which a sample of 123 nurses will be selected to complete the questionnaire. For data collection, two instruments will be used, one for each variable, both validated through expert judgment. The first instrument, measuring occupational stress, demonstrated a reliability coefficient of 0.98, while the second instrument, measuring job performance, showed a reliability coefficient of 0.93, indicating that both instruments have high reliability.
