The thesis aimed to determine the relationship between self-reported bruxism and smartphone addiction in young adults treated at a dental clinic in Lima in 2025. A hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, observational, cross-sectional, prospective, nonexperimental study was conducted. The sample consisted of 132 young adults. The results showed that self-reported bruxism was the most prevalent symptom (67.4%). Regarding smartphone addiction, a higher percentage (61.4%) was observed. Pearson's chi-squared test was applied, revealing a statistically significant relationship between the variables studied. An association was found between the frequency of bruxism and smartphone addiction (p = 0.010). Furthermore, the type of bruxism showed a significant relationship (p = 0.000), as did muscular and articular symptoms (p = 0.023) and associated symptoms (p = 0.003). Finally, self-reported bruxism also showed a significant relationship with smartphone addiction (p = 0.000). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between self-reported bruxism and smartphone addiction in young adults treated at a dental clinic in Lima – 2025.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/BruxismoBruxismTeléfono InteligenteSmartphoneAdicción a la TecnologíaTechnology AddictionSalud BucalOral HealthRelación entre bruxismo autoinformado y adicción al teléfono inteligente en adultos jóvenes atendidos en una clínica dental de Lima – 2025Relationship between self-reported bruxism and smartphone addiction in young adults treated at a dental clinic in Lima – 2025http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.14ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
