El acopio de datos fue a través de la encuesta, con el uso de cuestionarios debidamente validados y con alto nivel de confiabilidad como instrumentos. La población de estudio fueron 300 colaboradores de la municipalidad de Villa el salvador, la muestra no probabilística fueron 164 colaboradores. Los resultados descriptivos arrojaron que 82.90% de encuestados sostienen que la gestión municipal es buena y 17.1% que es regular; mientras que 53% sostiene que la seguridad ciudadana es buena, 41.5% que es regular y solo 5.5% que es mala. A nivel inferencial se encontró una significatividad de 0,000 < 0,05 con un coeficiente r = ,732, confirmando así una relación significativa y de alto grado entre ambas variables. Se llegó a concluir que la gestión municipal se relaciona significativamente con la seguridad ciudadana en Villa el Salvador, 2023.The objective of this research was to evaluate the relationship between municipal management and citizen security in the district of Villa el Salvador, 2023; For this, a methodology based on the quantitative approach was applied, with a non-experimental design, with a descriptive-correlational scope, the data collection was carried out through the survey technique and the use of duly validated questionnaires with a high level of reliability as instruments. . . The study population was 300 employees from the municipality of Villa el Salvador, from which a non-probabilistic sample of 164 employees was selected. The descriptive results showed that 82.9% of those surveyed maintain that municipal management is good and 17.1% that it is regular; While 53% maintain that citizen security is good, 41.5% that it is average and only 5.5% that it is bad. At the inferential level according to the Spearman test, a significance of 0.000 < 0.05 and a rho coefficient = 0.732 were found, which indicates a significant and high-degree relationship between the variables.
