La metodología empleada es hipotético-deductiva, con abordaje cuantitativo, de alcance transversal, no experimental y correlacional. La población estará conformada por 30 enfermeras que laboran en la central de esterilización del Hospital EsSalud, Chiclayo. Se utilizará la técnica de la encuesta y los instrumentos a ser utilizados serán un cuestionario de 15 ítems y una lista de comprobación de 15 ítems, lo que permitirá evaluar el conocimiento sobre el proceso de esterilización del instrumental quirúrgico y la práctica de las enfermeras. Se considerará usar una hoja de cálculo Excel y el software estadístico SPSS versión 27, para analizar los resultados que se obtengan de la toma de datos y el estadístico Rho de Spearman para hacer el análisis de la relación entre ambas variables de estudioThe objective of this research will be to determine how knowledge about the sterilization process of surgical instruments is related to the practice of nurses in a hospital - EsSalud.
