El objetivo es “Determinar de qué manera se relacionan el conocimiento y el cuidado al paciente con tubo endotraqueal del personal de enfermería en una UCI de un Hospital público.” Se emplea un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo no experimental y aplicado, con un alcance correlacional. El estudio sigue el método hipotético-deductivo para analizar y describir los fenómenos investigados a través de encuestas dirigidas a enfermeros que trabajan en la UCI de un hospital público. Para lo cual, se usarán como técnica la encuesta y se aplicarán instrumentos validados y confiables. Se analizarán los datos obtenidos con métodos estadísticos.It is essential that nursing staff master the procedures for patients intubated with endotracheal tubes to prevent complications that could jeopardize the patients' health, especially those admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), where their health condition is often critical. The aim is to identify how the knowledge and care of patients with endotracheal tubes are related to nursing staff in an ICU of a public hospital. A quantitative, non-experimental, and applied approach is used, with a correlational scope. The study follows the hypothetical-deductive method to analyze and describe the investigated phenomena through surveys directed at nurses working in the ICU of a public hospital. The survey will be used as a technique, and validated and reliable instruments will be applied.
