Mediante la metodología con enfoque cuantitativo, tipo experimental, diseño no experimental y nivel descriptivo correlacional. Los participantes fueron 92 estudiantes del 1° a 4° de secundaria cuyas edades eran comprendidas entre 14 y 21 años, de los cuales (32) eran hombres y (60) mujeres. Los instrumentos de recolección de datos utilizados fueron Escala Faces III y el Cuestionario de Agresión, ambos admitidos en Perú. En los resultados se halló que existe una relación inversa (negativa) y estadísticamente significativa (rho= -.284; p= .006<0.05) entre funcionamiento familiar y agresividad. En el análisis por dimensión, se halló una relación inversa únicamente con la dimensión hostilidad (rho= -.233; p= .025<0.05); de modo que las otras dimensiones agresión física, agresión verbal e ira, no evidencian asociaciones. Se concluye que una mejor estabilidad familiar saludable contribuye a una reducción de manifestaciones conductuales y emocionales, por lo que la actitud hostil del estudiante es reflejo de cómo funciona su entorno doméstico.The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is an association between family functioning and aggression among secondary school students at an alternative basic education center in East Lima, 2025. The study employed a quantitative methodology with an experimental approach, a non-experimental design, and a descriptive-correlational level. The participants were 92 students in grades 7 through 10 whose ages ranged from 14 to 21 years, of whom 32 were male and 60 were female. The data collection instruments used were the Faces III Scale and the Aggression Questionnaire, both of which are validated in Peru. The results revealed an inverse (negative) and statistically significant relationship (rho = -.284; p = .006 < 0.05) between family functioning and aggression. In the analysis by dimension, an inverse relationship was found only with the hostility dimension (rho = -.233; p = .025 < 0.05); thus, the other dimensions—physical aggression, verbal aggression, and anger—showed no associations.
