Este trabajo cuenta con características descriptivas para definir la funcionalidad familiar de los usuarios drogodependientes; además es cuantitativo, ya que se atribuyeron valores numéricos a los hallazgos obtenidos tras la implementación del Test de Apagar Familiar. Respecto a la metodología, pertenece a un diseño no manipulado; se basa en el examen del fenómeno tal como ocurre, sin intervención sobre sus variables por el investigador; es transversal, ya que la recaudación de información se efectuará en un solo momento de tiempo. El grupo participante está constituido por 60 personas con dependencia a sustancias, atendidas en el Servicio de Prevención de Adicciones del Centro de Salud Mental Comunitario Honorio Delgado, ubicado en Pueblo Libre, Lima – Perú, durante el año 2025. Se aplicaron dos herramientas para llevar a cabo los cuestionarios de valoración: el Instrumento Apgar Familiar, propuesto por el médico Smilkstein, para dimensionar la dinámica familiar, y la Escala de Morisky con la finalidad de medir el cumplimiento al manejo con medicamentos, y evaluar el seguimiento del tratamiento con medicamentos.This investigation was conducted at the primary care level. Its goal was to identify perceptions regarding the different elements that make up family functioning: adaptability, participation, growth or development, affection, and conflict resolution skills, among consumers of the Addictions Service at the Honorio Delgado Community Mental Health Center througout the year 2025. The study has a descriptive route, focusing on detailing the attributes of family functioning described by the participators. It is quantitative, as numerical values are appointed to the responses obtained through the family APGAR test. It has a non experimental design, based on observation without manipulation of variables, and is cross-sectional, as data collection is carried out at a unique point in time. The population consisted of 60 users at the aforementioned community mental health facility.
