Materiales y métodos: Estudio experimental in vitro. Objective: To evaluate the antifungal efficacy of different cleansing agents for acrylic resins against Candida albicans at different exposure times. Materials and Methods: An in vitro experimental study was conducted. Sixty acrylic resin discs were evaluated, distributed into four experimental groups: Corega Tabs, NoBac Tabs, active oxygen solution (Bluem), and distilled water (negative control). Microbiological colony-forming unit (CFU) counts were determined at 15 minutes, 60 minutes, and 8 hours. Descriptive and comparative analyses were performed using normality and homogeneity tests; as appropriate, ANOVA of two factors followed by Tukey’s post hoc test, was applied, with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: At 15 minutes, Bluem mouthwash showed the lowest mean CFU count (17.4 ± 1.9) compared to Corega Tabs (39.0 ± 0.70) and NoBac Tabs (42.0 ± 0.69), indicating an early antifungal effect. At 60 minutes, Corega Tabs demonstrated the greatest reduction in CFU (0.11 ± 0.03). After 8 hours, Corega Tabs achieved complete inhibition of microbial growth, whereas Bluem maintained residual levels (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Antifungal efficacy depended on both the cleansing agent and the exposure time. The active oxygen solution showed greater early activity, whereas Corega Tabs exhibited the highest sustained antifungal efficacy.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_f1cfhttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Candida albicansCandida albicansResinas AcrílicasAcrylic ResinsDesinfectantesDisinfectantsSalud BucalOral HealthComparación de la actividad antifúngica de una nueva solución de oxígeno activo y pastillas limpiadoras en prótesis dental por Candida AlbicansComparison of the antifungal activity of a new active oxygen solution and denture cleaning tablets against Candida Albicanshttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.14ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
