This project aims to determine the nursing knowledge in the care and maintenance of the percutaneous catheter in newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit of the El Carmen Maternal and Child Regional Teaching Hospital, Huancayo 2021, the project is framed in a quantitative, cross-sectional, prospective approach, the population will be made up of 35 nurses from the intensive care unit of the aforementioned hospital, an instrument of 15 multiple-choice questions will be applied that will answer the research questions, the results will be presented in tables of absolute and percentage frequency distribution, each table with its graph, the author will ensure that universal ethical principles are met.
