Material and Methods: A systematic review of 10 scientific articles found on the importance of perioperative nursing documentation to improve surgical patient safety was cited in the following databases: Epistemonikos, Scielo; all were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine their strength and quality of evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles reviewed and analyzed, 90% (n=9/10) are systematic reviews and 10% (n=1/10) is primary study. Of the 10 articles found, 100% indicate the importance of perioperative nursing documentation to improve surgical patient safety. Conclusion: 10 out of 10 articles found highlight the importance of perioperative nursing documentation to improve surgical patient safety.Objetivo: Sistematizar las evidencias sobre la importancia del registro de enfermería perioperatoria para mejorar la seguridad del paciente quirúrgico. Material y Métodos: La revisión sistemática en 10 artículos científicos hallados sobre la importancia del registro de enfermería perioperatoria para mejorar la seguridad del paciente quirúrgico, fueron citados en la siguiente bases de datos Epistemonikos, Scielo; todos ellos fueron analizados según la escala Grade para determinar su fuerza y calidad de evidencia. Resultados: De los 10 artículos revisados y analizados, un 90% (n=9/10) son revisiones sistemáticas y un 10% (n= 1/10) es estudio primario. De los 10 artículos encontrados el 100% señalan la importancia del registro de enfermería perioperatoria para mejorar la seguridad del paciente quirúrgico.
