Materials and methods: A systematic and observational review methodology was used, analyzing 10 full-text articles selected and subjected to critical reading, based on databases such as Medline, SciELO, KDIGO and KDOKI Guidelines, Cochrane, and PubMed, evaluated through the GRADE method. Results showed 50% with a moderate level of evidence, and 20% corresponding to a strong recommendation. Results: 60% of the reviewed articles demonstrated the efficacy of food demineralization in preventing hydroelectrolytic alterations. Conclusions: Six out of ten studies support the effectiveness of food demineralization through various culinary and elective techniques, as they improve the final waste solute load control, thereby reducing complications caused by their excess. Additionally, evidence suggests an imminent evolution of recommendations that should continue to be evaluated.
