Asimismo, indica que la discapacidad por dolor lumbar es la dolencia más importante de la carga general de trastornos musculoesqueléticos. Objetivo: Identificar la relación que existe entre el nivel de actividad física y la discapacidad por dolor lumbar en el personal de enfermería del Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo, Lima – 2026. Material y método: Para evaluar la actividad física y la discapacidad por dolor lumbar se emplearon el Cuestionario Internacional de Actividad Física (IPAQ-SF) y el Índice de Discapacidad de Oswestry (ODI) respectivamente. Se empleo un método hipotético deductivo de enfoque cuantitativo de diseño no experimental, transversal y correlacional, La muestra estuvo conformada por 87 enfermeros. Resultados: La media de la edad fue 36.95 ± 6.107 años, el 64.4% fueron mujeres y 35.6% hombres, con respecto a la actividad física se halló una media de 2343.85 4054.84 con un nivel bajo de 35.6%, 57.5% moderado y 6.9% alto; y la discapacidad por dolor lumbar con una media de 32.74 ± 13.500 con 25.3% de discapacidad mínima, 57.5% moderada y 17.2% severa. Conclusión: Se concluye en que si existe relación entre la actividad física y la discapacidad por dolor lumbar.The World Health Organization (WHO) defines physical activity as any bodily movement driven by skeletal muscles that uses energy and is crucial for health and well-being. It offers benefits such as relief from symptoms of sadness and anxiety, and improved mental well-being. Furthermore, it indicates that disability due to low back pain is the most significant ailment within the overall burden of musculoskeletal disorders. Objective: To identify the relationship between the level of physical activity and disability due to low back pain among nursing staff at the Dos de Mayo National Hospital, Lima – 2026. Material and methods: The International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ-SF) and the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) were used to assess physical activity and disability due to low back pain, respectively. A hypothetical-deductive method with a quantitative approach and a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design was employed. The sample consisted of 87 nurses. Results: The mean age was 36.95 ± 6.107 years; 64.4% were women and 35.6% were men. Regarding physical activity, the mean was 2343.85 ± 4054.84 minutes, with 35.6% reporting low activity, 57.5% moderate, and 6.9% high levels.
