Methodology: The study followed a deductive method with a quantitative approach, applied type, and an observational, cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 111 diabetic patients attending the Base III EsSalud Hospital in Puno. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire with 14 questions across four dimensions: reception, transportation, storage, and use of insulin, with data processed using Excel and SPSS 25. Results: Among the 111 patients, 64.0% had incorrect knowledge about insulin reception, 72.1% had correct knowledge about transportation, 61.3% had incorrect knowledge about storage, and 55.9% had incorrect knowledge about insulin use. Overall, 66.7% of patients demonstrated incorrect knowledge about insulin. Conclusion: Outpatient diabetic patients attending the hospital generally have incorrect knowledge regarding the reception, transportation, storage, and use of insulin.Objetivo: Evaluar el nivel de conocimiento sobre insulinas en Pacientes Diabéticos ambulatorios del HOSPITAL Base III EsSalud. Metodología: el estudio es deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, observacional de tipo transversal, la muestra fueron 111 pacientes diabéticos que acuden al Hospital Base III EsSalud Puno. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario que constaba de 14 preguntas, considerando cuatro dimensiones. En recepción, transporte, almacenamiento y uso de insulinas los cuales fueron procesados en Excel y SPSS 25; Resultados: de los 111 pacientes, se obtuvo que el nivel de conocimiento sobre recepción el 64,0% es incorrecto, en cuanto al transporte el 72,1% es correcto, el almacenamiento el 61,3% tiene un conocimiento incorrecto, el conocimiento sobre uso es el 55,9% es incorrecto. Finalmente, el nivel de conocimiento sobre insulinas el 66,7% es incorrecto.
