Methodology: A quantitative, correlational, cross-sectional approach was used. The population consisted of 210 families, and the instruments used were RFT and the Family Apgar, both validated. Results: Regarding total family risk, 48.10% belong to threatened families, 40% to families with high risk, and 11.9% to families with low risk. Regarding the dimensions, it was found that all five dimensions correspond to threatened families, with values ranging from 97.6% to 67.1%. Regarding family functionality, 38.6% exhibit severe family dysfunction, 36.2% exhibit moderate family dysfunction, and 25.2% exhibit mild family dysfunction. Conclusion: A relationship exists between total family risk and family functionality in families from the Las Terrazas settlement, committees 5 and 6, which belong to the Catalina Huanca Health Center - El Agustino, 2017.En la presente investigación el Objetivo: es determinar la relación entre riesgo familiar total y funcionalidad familiar en familias del Asentamiento Humano Las Terrazas de los comités 5 y 6, que pertenecen al centro de salud Catalina Huanca- el Agustino 2017. Metodología: de enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional de corte transversal, la población es de 210 familias, los instrumentos que se utilizaron fueron RFT y Apgar familiar validados. Resultado: con respecto a riesgo familiar total presentaron que el 48.10% pertenecen a familias amenazadas, el 40% a familias con riesgo alto y el 11.9% a familias con riesgo bajo. Respecto a las dimensiones se encontró que las 5 dimensiones pertenecen a familias amenazadas, cuyos valores oscilan entre 97.6% y 67.1% y referente a la funcionalidad familiar, el 38.6% presentan disfunción familiar severa, el 36.2% una disfunción familiar moderada, el 25.2% una disfunción familiar leve.
