Se aplicaron el Cuestionario de Autoconcepto de Garley y el Inventario de Estrés Cotidiano Infantil. Los hallazgos evidenciaron una relación significativa, moderada e inversa entre ambas variables (rho = –0.65; p < 0.05), así como correlaciones negativas con las dimensiones de salud y aspectos psicosomáticos (rho = 0.27), ámbito escolar (rho = –0.39) y ámbito familiar (rho = –0.34). Se concluye que a mayores niveles de estrés infantil se asocian con un autoconcepto más bajo.This research analyzed the relationship between self-concept and childhood stress in 172 fifth- and sixth-grade students from a school in Chorrillos, using a non-experimental, correlational, and quantitative design. The Garley Self-Concept Questionnaire and the Children's Daily Stress Inventory were administered. The findings revealed a significant, moderate, and inverse relationship between the two variables (rho = -0.65; p < 0.05), as well as negative correlations with the dimensions of health and psychosomatic aspects (rho = -0.27), school environment (rho = -0.39), and family environment (rho = -0.34).
