According to this review, it can be concluded that Intensive Care Unit specialists should reinforce their knowledge on the proper and initial practice of HFNC before requiring forced intubation, since the positive pressure system generated probably reduces the level of infection contagion of patients in the ICU and mortality."De Los 10 artículos revisados, el 80% (8/10) resaltan la efectividad de la oxigenación de cánulas de alto flujo para evitar la entubación mecánica en la insuficiencia respiratoria hipoxémica aguda en pacientes con covid-19 en la unidad de cuidados intensivos, el 10% (1/10) evidencia que ventilación mecánica no invasiva disminuye la entubación y el otro 10% (1/10) coinciden que ambos procedimientos son seguros y efectivos.
