Un 38% de los pacientes evaluados presentó un nivel de prevención odontológica inadecuada el 100% presentaron prácticas adecuadas; el 89,4% actitudes adecuadas y el 73,6% conocimientos inadecuados. Concluyendo que existe relación entre indirecta y considerable; entre enfermedad periodontal y prevención odontológica en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2.
