Metodología: Tipo de Investigación básica, enfoque cuantitativo, método hipotético deductivo, diseño experimental prospectivo, corte longitudinal. La muestra estuvo conformada por 60 piezas dentales (esmalte dental), para lo cual se utilizó la medición de estabilidad de color del esmalte de piezas dentales mediante espectrofotómetro. Resultados: Se evidenció que la pasta dental COLGATE LUMINIUS WHITE, con carbón activado presentó efectividad después de los días 1, 7 y 21 con una media de 4.48; 5.09 y 7.49 respectivamente, seguido con ORAL B con una media de 3.39; 4.69 y 6.82 y VITIS con una media de 3.95; 4.23 y 5.29. Asimismo, la pasta control obtuvo una media de 3.99; 4.35 y 4.95. Conclusión: Los hallazgos encontrados demuestran que la pasta dental COLGATE LUMINIUS WHITE presenta mayor efectividad del clareamiento dental, seguido de ORAL B y VITIS.The objective of this work was to determine the effectiveness of the whitening of three commercial toothpastes with abrasive action in the elimination of extrinsic dental stains in an in vitro study. Methodology: Type of basic research, quantitative approach, hypothetical deductive method, prospective experimental design, longitudinal section. The sample consisted of 60 teeth (dental enamel), for which the measurement of color stability of the tooth enamel using a spectrophotometer was used. Results: It was evident that COLGATE LUMINIUS WHITE toothpaste, with activated charcoal, was effective after days 1, 7 and 21 with an average of 4.48; 5.09 and 7.49 respectively, followed by ORAL B with an average of 3.39; 4.69 and 6.82 and VITIS with a mean of 3.95; 4.23 and 5.29. Likewise, the control pasta obtained an average of 3.99; 4.35 and 4.95.
