En la metodología, el estudio se basó un tipo aplicado, nivel correlacional, enfoque cuantitativo y diseño no experimental de corte transversal; la población y muestra se compuso por 45 enfermeras que laboran en la Unidad de Cuidados Especializados UCE de un hospital del Ministerio de Salud; la técnica fue la encuesta y los instrumentos fueron: los cuestionarios denominados The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) para estrés laboral y el cuestionario de desempeño profesional.In the present research, the objective was set to determine the relationship between work stress and professional nursing performance in the specialized critical unit of a hospital of the Ministry of Health of Lima - 2022.
