In the methodology, the study was based on an applied type, correlational level, quantitative approach and non-experimental cross-sectional design; The population and sample were made up of 45 nurses who work in the Specialized Care Unit UCE of a hospital of the Ministry of Health; The technique was the survey and the instruments were: the questionnaires called The Nursing Stress Scale (NSS) for work stress and the professional performance questionnaire.En la presente investigación se planteó el objetivo de determinar la relación entre el estrés laboral y desempeño profesional de enfermería en la unidad crítica especializada de un hospital del Ministerio de Salud de Lima - 2022.
