Siendo un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, de nivel correlación y corte transversal, para lo cual se seleccionó a 223 estudiantes de 1° a 5° de secundaria de secundaria de una institución educativa privada, elegidos mediante muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, y encuestados a través de la Escala de Acoso Escolar (AE DT) y el Inventario de autoestima de Rosenberg (EAR). Luego de procesar los datos, se encontró una relación significativa inversa débil entre el acoso escolar y la autoestima (rho=-0.20; p=0.00); asimismo, la autoestima se relacionó con la agresión verbal (rho=-0.19; p=0.00), psicológica (rho=-0.20; p=0.00) y física (rho=-0.10; p=0.00). De esta forma, se concluyó que la presencia de un elevado acoso escolar, implicaría una disminución de la autoestima en los adolescentes.This research aimed to determine the relationship between bullying and self-esteem in high school students at an educational institution in the Villa María del Triunfo district. This study featured a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational level, and cross-sectional analysis. 223 high school students from 1st to 5th grade at a private educational institution were selected through non-probability convenience sampling and surveyed using the School Bullying Scale (AE DT) and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Inventory (EAR). After data processing, a significant weak inverse relationship was found between bullying and self-esteem (rho=-0.20; p=0.00); self-esteem was also related to verbal aggression (rho=-0.19; p=0.00), psychological aggression (rho=-0.20; p=0.00), and physical aggression (rho=-0.10; p=0.00).
