Materials and Methods: Systematic observational review, with a restriction to full-text articles. The selected articles underwent critical reading, using an evaluation to identify their level of evidence. Results: In the final selection, 11 articles were chosen, and the evidence showed that the most effective medication for treating hypertensive crises was Captopril. The second-choice medication was Enalapril (ACE inhibitor) and Isosorbide. Other medications used included Furosemide, Nitroglycerin, Amlodipine, and Magnesium Sulfate. Conclusions: After the systematic review of the articles on the most effective treatment for hypertensive crises, the medication of choice is Captopril. The sample consisted of the 11 reviewed articles, which constitute 27.3% of the total studies.Objetivo: Analizar y sintetizar los resultados de la revisión sistemática de los estudios realizados referente al tratamiento más eficaz en pacientes con crisis hipertensivas que acuden a la unidad de emergencia. Material y Métodos: Revisión Sistemática observacional, la búsqueda se ha restringido a artículos con texto completo, y los artículos seleccionados se sometieron a una lectura crítica, utilizando la evaluación para identificar su grado de evidencia. Resultados: en la selección definitiva se eligieron 11 artículos se evidencia que el medicamento más eficaz en el tratamiento de las crisis hipertensivas fue el Captopril, el segundo medicamento de elección fue el Enalapril (ECA) así como también el Isosorbide.
