This research corresponds to the hypothetical-deductive method, with a quantitative approach, and the type of study is descriptive, correlational, non-experimental, and cross-sectional design. The population will consist of 30 nursing professionals. The technique used was the survey, and the instrument was a Likert Scale questionnaire, consisting of 20 items.Objetivo: Determinar cómo las competencias profesionales se relacionan con el desempeño de laboral del profesional de enfermería del servicio de neonatología de un Hospital Essalud, 2021.
