This study analyzed the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational climate in an ICU department of a hospital in Lima. It was framed within a quantitative approach, of a basic type and non-experimental design. The sample was selected through probability sampling, comprising 148 nurses and nursing technicians of both sexes, aged between 26 and 58 years. The measurement tools employed were the Wong-Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (Moreyra and Olivas, 2023) and the Brief Organizational Climate Scale (Chirio et al. 2020). Regarding the results, a low positive correlation (rs = 0.270, p <.001) was found between the main variables. Likewise, emotional intelligence levels were evidenced at 37.8% (moderate), 25% (high and very high), and 6.1% (low and very low); meanwhile, organizational climate reached 99.3% (medium level) and 0.75% (low level). Low positive relationships were also observed between emotional intelligence and the dimensions of company factors and worker reaction-effect (rs = 0.276, p<.001, rs = 0.240 p 0.003). Furthermore, the comparative analysis establishes no significant differences based on sex (p<.688, p<.155). Finally, it is concluded that a low positive relationship exists between both variables, that the higher levels of emotional intelligence lead to better organizational climate indicators.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Inteligencia EmocionalEmotional IntelligencePersonal de EnfermeríaNursing StaffCondiciones de TrabajoWorking ConditionsInteligencia emocional y clima laboral en el personal de enfermería de un centro hospitalario del área de UCI, Lima 2026Emotional intelligence and work environment in the nursing staff of an ICU hospital center, Lima 2026http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#5.01.02https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.03.10ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
