The research has a quantitative descriptive approach and a non-experimental cross-sectional design. With a population of 120 families and a sample of 50 caregiver participants from the mental health area, the instrument that will be applied is the Zarit scale made up of 22 items grouped into three dimensions that will measure the level of caregiver overload, impact of care, interpersonal relationship, self-efficacy expectations, and the instrument's reliability level of 0.92 Cronbach's alpha.El estudio tiene como objetivo principal determinar el nivel de sobrecarga emocional en los cuidadores de pacientes con esquizofrenia de un Hospital de Es salud 2021.La investigación es de enfoque cuantitativo descriptivo y diseño no experimental de corte trasversal.
