Esta modalidad presenta características que lo distinguen de otros tipos de homicidios, debido a la multiplicidad de lesiones infligidas a la víctima, estos suelen ser especialmente violentos y generan un impacto en la sociedad, ya que plantea desafíos significativos para los investigadores y profesionales del ámbito jurídico y forense, en los casos donde se evidencia violencia con el fin de obtener un panorama más preciso de la frecuencia y características de este tipo de homicidios. A través de esta investigación, utilizando un método aplicativo, de enfoque cuantitativo y presenta un diseño no experimental, tomando a consideración el muestreo correspondiente a 80 carpetas fiscales de investigación por el delito de homicidio en el periodo del año 2022 - 2023 en el Distrito Fiscal del Callao. Recabados estos datos, se examinó por medio del software SPSS versión 26. De la misma manera, respecto a la evaluación de hipótesis se empleó el coeficiente de Pearson a fin de describir las variables cuantitativas, el análisis de Chi Cuadrado para relacionar las variables cualitativas, Student a fin de cotejar dos grupos y Anova para realizar la comparación en grupos de dos o más; teniendo como resultado del 100% de las muestras analizadas una relación directamente proporcional entre el uso del proyectil explosivo con la cantidad de lesiones producidas en la cavidad craneal, cavidad torácica y cavidad abdominal.Overkill, homicide over murder; is a form of homicide in which the victim subjected to multiple injuries, beyond those necessary to cause his death. This modality has characteristics that distinguish it from other types of homicides, due to the multiplicity of injuries inflicted on the victim, these tend to be especially violent and generate an impact on society, because it poses significant challenges for investigators and specialists in the legal and forensic field, in cases where signs of violence are detected, in order to obtain a clearer picture of the incidence and characteristics of this type of homicide. Through this investigation, using an application method, quantitative approach and presents a nonexperimental design, taking into account the sampling of 80 tax folders for investigation of the crime of homicide in the period of 2022 - 2023 in the Fiscal District of Callao.
