Gaps in knowledge and attitudes towards exclusive breastfeeding still persist. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the perception of this activity and this is closely related to the information received. The objective of this thesis is to determine the relationship of the level of knowledge in its importance dimension of the practice of exclusive breastfeeding with the attitude about exclusive breastfeeding in mothers of a public hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lima 2022. Methodology: Cross-sectional observational study carried out in pregnant patients and mothers of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital during the period October-December 2022. The sample used will be 180 patients. Information will be collected through a previously validated instrument which collects information on the level of knowledge of breastfeeding and the attitude towards breastfeeding. Descriptive and correlational statistics will be generated to determine the relationship between the variables studied. Results: Regarding the variable knowledge about breastfeeding, no association was found with the attitude towards breastfeeding (p=0.079). Conclusion: The level of knowledge was not related (p=0.079) with the attitude towards breastfeeding in mothers of a public hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, Lima 2022.Objetivo: Determinar la relación del nivel de conocimiento con la actitud sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres de un hospital público durante la pandemia de COVID-19, Lima 2022.
