Objective: Analyze the relationship between adherence to iron sulfate consumption and iron deficiency anemia in pregnant women attended at the Carlos Cueto Fernandini Health Center in the year 2025. Materials and methods: Quantitative, correlational, observational study, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and retrospective. The sample included 360 pregnant women selected thru non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Descriptive statistics and Pearson chi-square test at 0.05 level of significance were used for the analysis. Results: Iron deficiency anemia was present in 86.9% of the participants (n = 313). A significant association was found between anemia and age (x²=4.924; p=0.026), between anemia and marital status (x²=8.483; p=0.037), and between anemia and education level (x²=11.319; p=0.010). We observed the association with parity (x²=9.228; p=0.010). We observed the association with a history of abortion (x²=9.368; p=0.002), with prenatal care (x²=13.731; p<0.001), and with gestational age (x²=21.856; p<0.001). Adherence to ferrous sulfate showed a significant association with iron deficiency anemia (x²=40.691; p<0.001). Conclusion: Iron-deficiency anemia had a high prevalence and was significantly affected by sociodemographic and obstetric factors, as well as adherence to taking ferrous sulfate. Following the ferrous sulfate regimen turned out to be an important factor in preventing anemia during pregnancy.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Anemia FerropénicaAnemia, Iron-DeficiencyAdherenciaTreatment Adherence and ComplianceSulfato FerrosoFerrous SulfatePersonas EmbarazadasPregnant PeopleAdherencia al consumo de sulfato ferroso y anemia ferropénica en gestantes del Centro de Salud Carlos Cueto Fernandini, 2025Adherence to ferrous sulfate consumption and iron-deficiency anemia in pregnant women at Carlos Cueto Fernandini Health Center, 2025http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.27ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
