Ignorance of its influence could lead to an underestimation of the workers' noise exposure risk and, consequently, the effectiveness of the hearing conservation program. The objective of this research is to determine the occupational exposure to noise of the workers in the welding workshop. The approach is quantitative, with a cross-sectional, descriptive, and prospective design, of a longitudinal nature. The population will consist of 120 workers, and the stratified sample will include 70 workers, with 35 from the day shift and 35 from the night shift."La exposición laboral al ruido de los trabajadores de un taller de soladura en una mina a tajo abierto en el norte del Perú, es evaluada en dos factores relevantes; el lugar al interior del taller de soldadura y el tipo de actividad específica que realizan los colaboradores; el desconocimiento de su influencia podría subestimar la evaluación del riesgo a ruido de los trabajadores y por consiguiente la efectividad del programa de conservación auditiva. El trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la exposición laboral al ruido de los trabajadores del taller de soldadura.
