La prevención es clave para capacitar a los cuidadores en la aplicación de primeros auxilios en niños quemados. Este estudio utiliza el enfoque cuantitativo, basado en la formulación y prueba de hipótesis, caracterizado al ser correlacional, no experimental y transversal. Por 80 mamás de infantes internados dentro de la sección de quemados de la institución mencionada se conformará la muestra. Para la obtención de datos se emplearán tres instrumentos: uno destinado a recopilar las características generales de las madres, otro para evaluar sus saberes sobre primeros auxilios, y un tercero para analizar las prácticas aplicadas en casos de quemaduras. Se realizará un análisis inferencial utilizando Tau-B de Kendall como prueba estadística para identificar la relación que existe.Burns represent a significant public health challenge, making it essential to implement preventive measures to reduce their incidence and avoid physical and psychological harm.
