The mothers reach ages between 21 and 42 years, mainly completed primary school, are housewives and with a civil status of cohabitation type. The result of the correlation between hemoglobin and P/E (p value= 0.7648); hemoglobin and T/E ((p value= 0.8047); Hemoglobin and (P/T) (p value= 1,000). No correlation was found between these variables, the description of food consumption should take greater emphasis on improving it.En el Perú el 43.5% de los niños, en el rango de 6-35 meses, esta con algún grado de anemia, y en niños hospitalizados es muy alta. El objetivo del estudio fue ver si existe relación entre el estado nutricional de los pacientes y el valor de hemoglobina.
