Sample: the total population, Methodological Design: The type of research will be applied. Design will be observational, descriptive, correlational, prospective and cross-sectional. Instruments: To evaluate the variable "Emotional Intelligence" the BAR Emotional Quotient inventory will be used and to evaluate the variable "Job Performance" the questionnaire taken as a reference to the job performance questionnaire developed by the researcher Machillanda (2005) will be applied. The data collection technique will be the survey. Statistical processing and data analysis: it will be carried out using descriptive techniques and frequencies expressed in percentages, the statistical analysis will be according to its distribution through parametric statistical tests (Pearson's correlation) or non-parametric (Spearman's Rho correlation).“Determinar la relación que existe entre la inteligencia emocional y el desempeño laboral del profesional de Enfermería”, población estará constituida por 90 profesionales de enfermería, que trabajan en el Servicio de emergencia del Hospital Nacional Carlos Alberto Seguin Escobedo. Muestra: el total de la población, Diseño Metodológico: El tipo de investigación será aplicada. Diseño será observacional, descriptivo, correlacional, prospectivo y transversal. Instrumentos: Para evaluar la variable “Inteligencia Emocional” se utilizará el inventario de Cociente Emocional BAR y para evaluar la variable “Desempeño Laboral ” se aplicará el cuestionario tomado de referencia el cuestionario de desempeño laboral desarrollado por la investigadora Machillanda (2005) . La técnica de recolección de datos será la encuesta.
