Among the participants, 58% had a secondary education level, and 44% had one child. Regarding cultural factors, 77% were from the North and East sectors of Jicamarca. 55% of respondents attended one to three sessions of obstetric psychoprophylaxis, while 53% did not plan their pregnancy. 85% were aware of obstetric psychoprophylaxis topics, and 90% believed that these sessions were beneficial for both the mother and the baby. Additionally, 53% were self-employed, and 52% worked in the mornings. 85% of fathers participated in at least one session of obstetric psychoprophylaxis. Demographic factors such as being over 30 years old, having a higher education level, being single, separated, or divorced, and having more than one child, along with cultural factors such as coming from the North and East, not planning the pregnancy, and lacking knowledge about obstetric psychoprophylaxis, were identified as barriers to partner participation in psychoprophylaxis sessions. Work-related factors, including independent and temporary work, as well as night or early morning shifts, were identified as risk factors for partner participation in the psychoprophylaxis sessions for pregnant women.Estudio Observacional, Analítico, Transversal, Prospectivo; el 58% con nivel de educación secundaria, 44% un hijo, respecto de los factores culturales, el 77% proviene del sector Norte y Este de Jicamarca; el 55% de los encuestados asistió de una a tres veces a las sesiones de psicoprofilaxis obstétrica, el 53% no planifico su embarazo; el 85% conoce los temas de Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica el 90% si cree que las sesiones de Psicoprofilaxis Obstétrica fueron beneficiosas para la madre y el Bebé. 53% tiene trabajo independiente y el 52% trabaja durante las mañanas; el 85% de los padres participo alguna vez de las sesiones de psicoprofilaxis obstétrica, Los factores demográficos como tener más de 30 años, mayor nivel educativo, ser soltero, separado o divorciado y tener más de 1 hijo, factores culturales como ser de procedencia Norte y Este, No planificar el embarazo y el desconocimiento de los temas de psicoprofilaxis obstétrica es un factor que influye en la no participación de la pareja en la psicoprofilaxis.
