Metodología: Apoya su fundamento en un enfoque hipotético- deductivo es una investigación cuantitativa, con un diseño no experimental. La muestra: Participarán 25 enfermeras que trabajen en el área de estudio. Los instrumentos son adaptados y serán un cuestionario con una validez en p=0.883 y una confiabilidad 0.767 y la guía de observación con una validez aceptable de p=0.0883, y para la confiabilidad se obtuvo 0,786, cuenta los cuales han demostrado ser válidos y confiables para esta investigación. La información será recopilada y digitada en el software estadístico V-22. Y para garantizar la ética del estudio, las enfermeras participantes firmarán un consentimiento informado.This study aims to: Determine how the theoretical understanding of the Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) method relates to its implementation in clinical practice, as developed by nurses caring for premature infants in the Neonatal Critical Care Area of the Pasco National Hospital Methodology: This quantitative, non-experimental study is based on a hypothetical-deductive approach. The sample consists of 25 nurses working in the study area. The instruments used are a questionnaire with a validity of p=0.883 and a reliability of 0.767, and an observation guide with acceptable validity of p=0.0883 and a reliability of 0.786. Both instruments have proven valid and reliable for this research. Data will be collected and entered using the statistical software V-22.
