Esta condición se relaciona estrechamente con la condición física y el estado nutricional, factores fundamentales para mantener una buena calidad de vida e independencia en esta etapa. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo determinar la relación entre el nivel de fragilidad, la condición física y el estado nutricional en adultos mayores atendidos en el consultorio interno de geriatría del Hospital Regional de Lambayeque en 2025. Se trabajará con una muestra de 100 adultos mayores, empleando un enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicado, y un diseño no experimental. Para la evaluación se utilizarán tres instrumentos validados: el test de Fried para medir la fragilidad según criterios fenotípicos, la escala de Barthel para evaluar la independencia funcional, y el Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA) para identificar el estado nutricional y riesgo de desnutrición. El estudio está estructurado en cuatro partes: planteamiento del problema, marco teórico, metodología y aspectos administrativos como presupuesto y cronograma.Population aging is a global phenomenon that poses significant challenges to public health.
