This is caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, affecting the quality of life of older adults, as it reduces their physical capacity, expectations, physical state, and independence. The objective of this project is to determine the relationship between sarcopenia and quality of life in independent older adults from CAP III Huaycán in 2023. Methodology: A hypothetical-deductive study with a quantitative approach, applied type, descriptive-correlational design, non-experimental technique, and cross-sectional nature. The sample consisted of independent older adults who attended the Physical Therapy service at CAP III Huaycán, using non-probabilistic convenience sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. El objetivo del proyecto es Determinar la relación entre sarcopenia y calidad de vida en los adultos mayores independientes del CAP III Huaycán, 2023 Metodología: se realizó un estudio hipotético – deductivo, con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, diseño descriptivo, correlacional de técnica no experimental y de corte transversal. La muestra fueron adultos mayores independientes, que asistieron al servicio de Terapia Física del CAP III Huaycán, con un muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia, con criterios de inclusión y exclusión.
