The articles for the preparation of this work were obtained from the following databases; Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet, ProQuest and Google scholar. Of the 10 national and international research articles, 50% are clinical trials, 20% of each are systematic reviews and quasi-experimental and 10% experimental. According to the quality of the evidence, it was found to be high at 90% and medium at 10% and according to the strength of the recommendation it is 100% strong. Depending on the country where the investigations were carried out, 80% correspond to Spain and 10% each to Mexico and Brazil. Results: According to the review of the articles, it is evident that 80% indicate that the preoperative nursing visit is effective in reducing anxiety in patients undergoing surgery and 20% indicate that it is not effective. Conclusions: It is concluded that 8 of 10 scientific articles demonstrate that the preoperative nursing visit is effective in reducing anxiety in patients undergoing surgery and 2 of 10 demonstrate that it is not effective.El tipo de estudio es cuantitativo, el diseño es una revisión sistemática. Los artículos para la elaboración de este trabajo fueron obtenidos de las siguientes bases de datos; Pubmed, Scielo, Medline, Dialnet, ProQuest y Google académico. De los 10 artículos de investigación tanto nacionales como internacionales, el 50% es ensayos clínicos, el 20% de cada uno es revisión sistemática y cuasi experimentales y el 10% experimental. De acuerdo con la calidad de la evidencia se encontró alta en un 90% y mediana en 10% y de acuerdo a la fuerza de recomendación es fuerte al 100%. Según el país donde se realizaron las investigaciones corresponden a España 80% y 10% de cada uno a México y Brasil. Resultados: Según la revisión de los artículos se evidencia que el 80% señalan que la visita preoperatoria de enfermería es efectiva para disminuir la ansiedad en pacientes sometidos a cirugías y el 20% señalan que no es efectiva.
