La metodología utilizada fue hipotético-deductivo, cuantitativa de tipo básica, de nivel correlacional con corte transversal. Para ello se utilizó una población de 100 estudiantes de ambos sexos, pertenecientes al 4to, 5to y 6to ciclo de nutrición, con una muestra restante de 81 estudiantes. Para recoger los datos necesarios, se llegó a aplicar la técnica de la encuesta mediante 2 instrumentos. Para medir la motivación académica se utilizó la “Escala de motivación académica (EMA) de Vallerand et al. (1989) traducido y adaptado al español. Para medir la actitud hacia la investigación, se utilizó el “Cuestionario de actitud hacia la investigación” de Barrios y Ulises (2020).Los resultados arrojaron que no existe correlación significativa entre la motivación académica y la actitud hacia la investigación en los estudiantes de nutrición (p= 0.583) es decir mayor a p>0.05, por lo tanto, se rechaza la hipótesis alterna. Analizando sus dimensiones de cada una de las variables no se vio tampoco una asociación significativa. En conclusión, las variables estudiadas no se relacionan.The present study aimed to “Establish the relationship between academic motivation and attitude toward research in nutrition students at a private university in Lima, 2024.” The methodology used was hypothetical-deductive, quantitative in a basic type, with a correlational level and a cross-sectional design. The study involved a population of 100 students of both sexes, enrolled in the 4th, 5th, and 6th academic terms of the nutrition program, with a final sample of 81 students.To collect the necessary data, the survey technique was applied using two instruments. To measure academic motivation, the Academic Motivation Scale (AMS) by Vallerand et al. (1989), translated and adapted into Spanish, was used. To measure the attitude toward research, the Research Attitude Questionnaire by Barrios and Ulises (2020) was used.The results showed that there is no significant correlation between academic motivation and attitude toward research in nutrition students (p = 0.583), which is greater than the significance level of p > 0.05; therefore, the alternative hypothesis is rejected.
