The study method was deductive with a quantitative approach, correlational analytical type and non-experimental design. The population consisted of 95 users treated at the La Libertad Center, specifically in the Obstetrics and General Medicine service. The results were: of the 95 users, 49.5% attended the obstetrics service and 50.5% attended the medicine service, the age of 20 to 35 years was the most reported (obstetrics 68.1% and medicine 54.2%), marital status single was the most frequent (obstetrics 42.6% and medicine 37.5%), education was secondary level (obstetrics 61.7% and medicine 64.6%) and the occupation of obstetrics users was independent in 42.6% and medicine 43.8% are housewives, 95.4% of the satisfied users considered that the waiting time was adequate, 94.9% of the satisfied users considered that the attention in the admission procedures the waiting time was adequate, 97% of the users satisfied considered that the attention time before the consultation was adequate and 95.6% of satisfied users mentioned that the attention time during the consultation was adequate. It is concluded that there is a high positive correlation (0.803) between waiting time and user satisfaction at the La Libertad Health Center.El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la relación entre tiempo de espera con respecto a la satisfacción del usuario. El método del estudio fue deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo analítico correlacional y de diseño no experimental. La población estuvo conformado por 95 usuarios atendidos en el Centro La Libertad específicamente en el servicio de Obstetricia y Medicina General. Los resultados fueron: de los 95 usuarios el 49.5% asistió al servicio de obstetricia y el 50.5% asistió al servicio de medicina, la edad de 20 a 35 años fue la más reportada (obstetricia 68.1% y medicina 54.2%), el estado civil soltera fue el más frecuente (obstetricia 42.6% y medicina 37.5%), la educación fue de nivel secundaria (obstetricia 61.7% y medicina 64.6%) y la ocupación de las usuarias de obstetricia fue independientes en 42.6% y los de medicina el 43.8% son ama de casa, el 95.4% de los usuarios satisfechos consideraron que el tiempo de espera fue adecuado, el 94.9% de los usuarios satisfechos consideraron que la atención en los tramites de admisión el tiempo de espera fue adecuado, el 97% de los usuarios satisfechos consideró que el tiempo de atención antes de la consulta fue el adecuado y el 95.6% de los usuarios satisfechos mencionó que el tiempo de atención durante la consulta fue adecuado.
