Vasquez Arce, PercyCastañeda Rojas, Diana Patricia2017-09-192017-09-192017https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.13053/650La presente investigación pretende determinar de qué manera la vinculación al ámbito escolar de estrategias metodológicas enfocadas al desarrollo emocional de los niños y niñas afecta su desempeño académico; se busca favorecer la adquisición de saberes disciplinares y fomentar su desarrollo afectivo a través del entendimiento y la gestión de emociones propias y ajenas. La investigación es cuasi experimental, se toman dos grupos intactos que se encontraban previamente constituidos, conformado por estudiantes de ambos sexos, cuyas edades oscilan entre los 9 y los 12 años de edad y pertenecientes a los grados quinto de la sección primaria, en uno se aplican estrategias para fortalecer su desarrollo emocional, el otro grupo con características similares al anterior permanece sólo como grupo control y por ende no es intervenido. A partir de esto se realizan comparaciones durante el proceso con respecto al desempeño académico. En esta investigación se utiliza un test de inteligencia emocional y un instrumento para el seguimiento al desempeño académico de los estudiantes, a partir de los cuales se pudo verificar que luego de la implementación de las estrategias de educación emocional al grupo experimental conformado por 35 estudiantes, el 57,14% se ubicaron en un desempeño superior y el 0% en un desempeño bajo. Es importante tener en cuenta que en el pre test, el mismo grupo obtuvo el 17,2% en bajo rendimiento y el 17,2% en rendimiento superior, lo cual refleja un mejoramiento significativo en su rendimiento académico. Es importante señalar que, a partir de la verificación de resultados en ambos grupos, el desarrollo afectivo influye en el desempeño académico, lo cual permite divisar un camino para fortalecer un desarrollo más integral en los niños y niñas.This research is focused in to stablish a correlation between emotional development methodologies whit children and the impact they have in their academic performances. This research wants to favor the acquisition of scholar knowledges and promote the affective development through the understanding and the emotional management of own and other’s feelings. This study is almost experimental, it takes two groups of students from both sexes, their ages are around 9 and 12 years old, and they belong to fifth grade of elementary school. In one group, I applied some strategies for strengthen their emotional development, and in the other group, whit similar characteristics, I decided not to intervene the scenario with the purpose of make comparisons between these groups and analyze their academic achievement. As a method, I used an emotional intelligence test and an instrument for following the student’s academic performance. The results of this experiment evidenced that the group in which were applied emotional education strategies, conformed by 35 students, the 57,14 % got a superior academic performance and none student got the lowest level. It’s important to keep in mind that pre-test that it was applied, the same group got a 17,2% of low academic achievement and the 17,2% in high academic level, this shows up an evident improvement in their academic performance.
