Metodología: El método de este estudio es Hipotético - deductivo, de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada y diseño no experimental, correlacional y de corte transversal. Se contará con una población de 80 participantes que se determinó por juicio y conveniencia que cumplan con los criterios de inclusión del estudio. En relación a la medición de las variables se emplearán dos instrumentos validados: el cuestionario de sobrecarga de Zarit con 22 ítems con un nivel de confiabilidad de 0,939 y el cuestionario de WHOQOL-BREF que mide la calidad de vida del adulto mayor con 26 ítems y confiabilidad de 0,84. Por otro lado, la información obtenida será reportada mediante el software Microsoft Excel y posteriormente será analizada por el SPSS en su última versión. Cabe señalar que en este estudio se respetará en cada colaborador el principio de autonomía, beneficencia, no maleficencia y justicia.Objective: This research aims to determine the relationship between caregiver burden and quality of life among older adults in a hospital in Huaraz.
