Despite this, shortcomings have been detected in the knowledge of nurses about the care of patients with polytrauma, a panorama that generates limitations in the exercise of a practice that contributes to providing timely and adequate care to these people, making it necessary to carry out this research. to know the situation more precisely. OBJECTIVE: determine how knowledge about care for polytraumatized patients is related to practices in nurses in the emergency service of a public hospital in Lima Este, 2024. MATERIALS AND METHODS: it will be a quantitative, applied, descriptive and correlational study. 60 nurses with polytrauma will participate. The techniques that will be applied are the survey and observation, while the instruments will be a questionnaire and a check list, respectively.El servicio de emergencia es un ámbito de especial relevancia en las instituciones sanitarias y para desplegar cuidados adecuados a los pacientes se requiere de enfermeros de alta especialización, ya que las casuísticas que se presentan implican peligro de muerte.
