Material and methods: it belongs to the hypothetical deductive method, quantitative, relational approach and non-experimental, cross-sectional design. To collect the data, the survey will be used, using the "Geriatric Depression Scale - Yesavage" and the "Family Support Degree" and will be covered by applying the instruments to a population of 80 people. Results: they are obtained from the analysis of information collected by the application of instruments, presented in tables, figures and/or statistical tests according to the behavior of the data. It will use the correlation of Rho Spearman to look for the relation about the two principals changeable. Conclusions: the most important results will be presented according to the purpose of the study.Establecer relación de grado de depresión y apoyo familiar del adulto mayor en un hospital de Comas. El método es hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, relacional y de diseño no experimental, transversal. Para recolectar los datos se utilizará la encuesta, haciendo uso de la “Escala de Depresión Geriátrica – Yesavage” y de “Grado Apoyo Familiar” y se abarcará aplicando los instrumentos a una población de 80 personas. Se obtendrá del análisis de información recolectada por la aplicación de instrumentos, presentados en tablas, figuras y/o pruebas estadísticas según el comportamiento de los datos. Se usará la correlación de Rho Spearman para hallar la relación de las dos variables principales.
